Well, i just acquired a rotten cold lol. aside from that, a big project is winding down at work now, so can relax a bit..well...aside from sneezing :P
how's it over there in mississippi? btw that's interesting in your 'about me' about xanax - i really think it depends on the doctor you see. i was quite lucky - mine pretty much gives me anything lol.. which i suppose is a bit dangerous!
welcome! this is prettyblue. i just joined saf yesterday. i read your story and i can totally relate. you remind me of myself except that i was never the class clown. hope to talk to you.
hi, how are you doing? i just happen to spot your profile, while writing to another member, and reed the information about yourself. i can definately identify concerning the fear aspect of social anxiety.the same thing started to happen to me,while trying to attend college.at the time i didnt know why i was feeling the way i was feeling.i mean the inexplicable fears etc.i too was a class clown, and even though i was a little shy,i was always confortable around people, but when the anxiety started,it was difficult.after many years of feelin guilty, sad, depressed, angry etc.i realized, that i was doing the opposite of social anxiety.feeding it negativity.social anxiety feeds on our constant fears etc.we must learn to live with it accept it and not feed it with negativity.which make many people result to alchohol, drugs etc.take care and have a great day.if you want to be my friend, that will be nice.former class clown to former class clown.take care.
Hello there jojo25, I would like to welcome you to the Social Anxiety Friends (SAF) website. I hope you come to realize that your not alone, and that you can be here with friends.
I hope you will add me to your friends list, and don't feel hesitate to ask any questions about SAF with me or anyone else. Its a great website.
In response to your post about the bank teller position. I don't know if the best thing for you would be to throw yourself into the fire opposed to taking baby steps to being comfortable handling money, BUT some people prove that that is the best way to handle something. All or nothing. Sometimes the best exposure is the strongest. Fight or flight, you will only find out what you'll do when you do it. I took my stab at becoming a barista and only lasted 2 weeks as a coffee maker and cashier, but i do have to tell you that i was terrified of dealing with money and that was nothing compared to dealing with cranky customers and remembering drinks. GOOD LUCK!
hi jojo! it was nice chatting with you in the shoutbox..hope to talk to you again soon..welcome to SAF! i think you'll like it here a lot!!
hope you're having a great day:)
