Oh wow, I'm not sure if I would of been scared in that situation, or excited. Yea I know, how much sense does that make? I think since I have such a generalized unatural fear of people, I seem to handle stressful more 'physical' situations better.
Thats quite a drive....It is odd how little bit I've actually been around michigan, I've only been to the lake Michigan a handful of times. Detroit once or twice.
After I finish my undergraduate studies I might move north for graduate school. Either northeast or northwest. I have family in Pennslyvania so maybe there. I think it would be nice to live somewhere with seasonal changes and snow in the winter lol.
I wouldnt like drastic cold like in Michigan though.
The western UP is in the Canadian shield region so there are quite a few small mountains. Also, there are a lot of places where the bedrock is exposed.
I've been aware of the Copper mines up there (is that a play on your name maybe?). I've always wanted to visit the UP actually.
Yeah I live clear up in Siberia of Michigan. Everyone up here calls you guys Trolls or they also call you guys flatlanders. :lol
Flatlanders? no idea on that one, unless the UP is a big mountain. I've been working on a counter joke for 'trolls'.... "Yea they call us trolls, I call them Canadians." *_*
I live in the NW corner of the U.P. The Keweenaw Peninsula to be exact. It is that finger that jets out into Lake Superior.
Oh wow, your all the way at the tip. Your not going to call me a troll, are you? lol. I never experienced it, but living so close to Ill, its to be expected. I always thought it was funny.
I think everyone should be required to live where I do for at least one winter. :lol We do get tons of snow. We are called the snow capital of the Midwest. It can snow up to early May here. I learned to be a very skilled winter driver.
Snow in May? That's crazy. I grew up in Oklahoma where they actually have weather but no snow like Michigan. If it so much as rains in southern California the whole place falls apart. lol.
Those are chemical trails. The air force has been doing this for years. The theory they are either spraying barium in the air for some kind of new fangle rader system that is based in Alaska what they call Haarp or the other theory is they are spraying aluminum in the air to combat global warming by reflecting the sun into space. I have watched this for a few years now and we live in a very remote place with the closes city 5 hours to the west which is Duluth, Minnesota. We don't ahve airports that can land those large jets. I watched one afternoon and I seen an Air Force jet going back and forth making these grid patterns. Just Goggle Chem trails and you will find a ton of information. Planes do make a vapor trail behind them, but they disappear very quickly. These chem trails stay in the air a long time spreading out.
We got about .20" of rain today. For October, we are up to .85"! Our drought, like yours, is getting worse. The rain we got today is not going to do much.
I think I will mow the lawn one last time - I would like to keep it short so the snow we get will look deeper!
Since July 20 (three months), I have only mowed my lawn one time!
