Hi Cherry, How are you doing? No new April blog yet??? Get busy! Ha Ha. I am still on the fence about blogging though. Do I really want to scare everyone with what's rattling around in my head? :) Hope you are doing well.
Take Care, John P.S. 2061 profile views? Wow, that's a lot! I know what a hug is, but what is an Own? Someone owns you now? What it an auction, or a set price?
Congratulatoins on your moving out your parents' place! Personally, I think living with parents hampers personal growth no matter how good the relatinship with parents is. I'm at a conference in San Antonio. So far, I'm having fun. I'm really tired, though.
Hope you had a good day. I agree with you on the mediation issue. I used to take one a couple of years ago but discontinued due to the side effects. And I can't imagine the interactions/cross-interactions of medication that go on for some pts who rarely have less than 5-6 pills in their medicine cup. No wonder they are not able to participate in sessions and looked wiped out all day long. I don't know if you have looked into Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); it does have some components worth checking out.
Glad to know that you are living independently now and have your own place. Enjoy!!
I worked in subacute for a few years before switching to TBI/BI/CVA.Even though subacute was nice in the sense that one saw all kinds of pts, but I like the challenge in BI. Makes you even more patient and considerate and really hits home the futility of materialism and makes you realise the importance of things that really matter (or should matter) in life. You are right about the impact of SA in all areas of life but in my case, it seems to affect certain aspects more than the others. What interventions have you tried (or are trying) at this point?
