Boredom Is Luxury
Posted On 02/27/2008 11:39:18

I used to think that boredom one of the worst things ever. But I have learned that it is a luxury, because boredom means there is no major crisis going on and I’m not overly worried about something.

Plus there are so many things in this world to dissolve that boredom. I’m not so much talking about watching a TV show to relieve the boredom. Like road trips just to find and take interesting photos can be so fun. You never know what you might see. Especially if you are with someone who also likes this kind of laid back activity and is patient enough.

Loneliness on the other hand, is not such a luxury. It’s not as easily curable, BUT, still it is curable. I think social anxiety is curable too, if you keep pecking away at it.

Surgery Recovery
Posted On 02/23/2008 03:16:36

I had my thyroid gland surgically removed last Monday, yikes. It was my first surgery, so I was a little nervous. But let me say that the "happy juice" they gave me just before surgery made me really relaxed, and very talkative as I remember, lol. The surgery lasted 3 hours and everything went well. My best friend and sister were there for support.

This week I have been in recovery, and basically sleeping most of time. My sleeping schedule is off though, which is why I am blogging so late.

Finally a good med combo
Posted On 02/12/2008 02:03:04

So, I went to see my Pdoc today and where I was taking Zoloft before (which didn't help me much) and low dose Klonopin just as needed, now she's decided to lower the Zoloft, and up the Klonopin, as in a daily dose. I've tried almost every SSRI out there over a few years time, and nothing works like Klonopin for me. I'm glad she took the jump to let me take the everyday dose. I think she knows I'm not the type to abuse it. I know that is a major concern for psychiatrists.

I'm not saying this is the best thing for everyone, but for now this works for me.

Training for 1/2 marathon
Posted On 02/11/2008 08:10:47
I'm training for a half marathon, which is 13.1 miles. It's keeping me motivated to excercise, that is for sure. I do my longer runs on Saturdays, slowly increasing every week.

Meds
Posted On 02/07/2008 09:03:52

I've recently been prescribed Klonopin because of a particularly stressful Holiday season and January. I have to say it works for me. And quiets the chatterbox in my head. I'm still on them, for just everyday anxiety, like days at work with a lot of social activity. And so far so good. My communications with others are just more smooth and my mind is calm to say what I want to without getting stuck. Do any of you take Benzo's?
