This is my first blog.  I hope it turns out well.  But sometimes I suck at writing lol.

Its been kind of a boring weekend.  Meaning, I wasn't very busy a lot of the time.  But I did do some things here and there.  One thing I did was get a haircut.  I haven't gotten my haircut in a long time.  And not because I didn't want to get my hair cut.  I kinda have a fear of going to get my hair cut, because, what if I get so nervous and only get half of my hair cut and I embarrass myself in front of others? I guess it stems from my fear of being trapped.  But lately I've been feeling good.  And I've been being more brave.  So I got my bangs cut.  All I did was get bangs.  But I'm really proud of myself for doing even that.  yay me!

Other things I did: got a job application at the supermarket, visited my grandpa, went jogging for 30 min.

My problem with haircuts would normally be making the appointments and sitting in a chair having to do the chit chat thing.  But I've been lucky with getting my haircut.  For most of my life, a neighbor of ours (who cut hair for people as a side job) cut my hair, so whenever a family member of mine got their haircut, I could just say "while you're there, make an appointment for me."  She moved away just after my brother met his girlfriend, who cuts hair for a living, so every now and then she comes over to cut my hair.  And both knew I was a quiet person, so I didn't feel too much pressure to be chatty.

This reminds me of an anecdote about king Philip II of Macedon (I don't often get a chance to use my knowledge of history in ordinary conversation, so forgive me if this sound pedantic but I gotta use it when I can!).  While preparing to get a haircut, the guy who had the honor to cut the king's hair asked:  "How do you like your hair cut?"  Philip's response:  "In silence."

I often get people who tell me wow you are so brave and edgey, for growing your so hair long. It makes me want to cry almost hehe because I'm terrified of hairdressers or especially anyone asking me how I would like my hair to be cut and I wish I could go sometimes just to get it neatened if nothing else rather than hack it with my kichen scissors before it gets waist length again.

Good on you! Getting you bangs cut is that first step to getting your entire hair cut. I to get my own haircut this week, which I've been putting off for ages for the same reasons you were afraid to get your hair cut. I hope I get through it ok. I'm not getting my bangs done, if only it was just the bangs, so I should be sitting in that hairdressers chair for a while...I figure if you can do it so can I. You should be very proud for being so brave!

You sound like  me when I get my hair done which i not often... Do you ever find yourself saying you like the haircut/style or color when you really dont?  I tend to do that I guess to please the hairdresser I dunno I guess I get scared to really say I dont like it....

Your weekend sounds better than mine, Thats the only place I really went is to the salon and to visit my mom n mother in law... I hate weekends sometimes...

At least you went to the supermarket,, I cant step foot there alone!
