Yeah, classes started this week. Today I had three, they should be interesting. I think I'll enjoy public health. I'm exhausted though. It's been so hot here, and I've had to walk everywhere on campus this week to make sure everything is complete and fix any problems. Tomorrow I have no classes, so I can stay home and recuperate. I'm enjoying school so far though. I might even get a job working at the school of public health in one of the labs doing research. How have you been?
Yep - I can't stand the Macroshaft takeover. The games they are playing with Vista is incomprehensible! They threw out the OS in January and it took until July to even get any hardware updates to existing Windows computers, and it is STILL far behind! :(
Dell went back to XP when selling computers - it was THAT bad!
I started using Vista in February and it has been nothing less than a headache, even when all the fancy stuff was disabled. :(
I program with SGI and HP but we usem on Windows, too.
I still use UNIX like crazy, but it is surely fading fast - Linux and Altix are holding on, though - I have little familiarity with Altix, and Linux is limited.
I have an SGI (IRIX) at work, as well as HP-UX, SUN Solaris 9/10 and IBM AIX 5.2/5.3. SGI and IBM are pretty much gone now :(
I am going to have to pay attention to that. I do remember hearing a tune, as I had just seen the commercial recently. I will have to take a closer listen. :)
