Yeah im back after being away for such a long time! Sorry! Been quite busy actually... Most of important of all... finding a special someone =D Met on singlescanada.com on dec 16... and we met on Feb 16 after she moved her in Vancouver. It has been going just so great^^ Granted, it is very tough with the shyness but i'm fighting it like no tomorrow and doing well. Plus, she is very understanding and is shy too. It is working out well though =D. Great start to the new year!! XD Also have been busy with a few other things.. such as work.. and a secondary sort of job repairing/building computers atm which I hope to start my own business and quit work. That is also going well! Other than that, everything else is pretty much the same! How has everyone else been?!?!
I am having problems with Fraps (A capturing software for games) not recording properly. I'm trying to rule out software it may be conflicting with... I completely disabled my anti-virus before I went into a game. I did nothing else but play the game with it disabled. It seemed to work at first... but then it started acting up again. I went to my task manager to end task EVERYTHING that was not important when I noticed a file that should not be on my computer... svehost.exe (notice how close it resembles svchost.exe). I have no idea how long it has been there, how it got there and why my anti-virus didn't catch it. Either the server had the trojan and it got transfered to my computer while downloading a map in-game or my anti-virus failed to detect it. I think it failed to detect it because I did a full scan and it never found the file but I manually removed it from starting up ever again. I can't seem to locate the file however. While scanning, my anti-virus did pick something up which I had no clue of... another trojan. Where did these come from?????????? I have no idea but now I have to change my password of every single application and website I use... I think I'm just going to format... One thing im thankful for, I rather have trojans than viruses. Trojans are easy to remove and rarely do damage... viruses on the other hand infect everything and destroy everything.
Well, first the bad news. Talked to my dad last night and they had to put their cat down :(. He was still a kitten, not even a year old yet but close. My dad went to move his truck into his workshop to put chains on his tires due to all the snow. However, he was unaware that the cat crawled up into the engine compartment and was still unaware after moving the truck. They later went looking for him without any success and then went to have dinner. They came back out to look for him again and this time heard him crying under the truck. They opened the hood and he was between the radiator and the fan but not BADLY hurt. However, one of his leg's was shattered and the vet bill would of been 2 grand so they put him down unfortunately. Probably was for the best as their might of been other damage that the vet was unaware of. Poor thing =( He was a cool cat too! Only got to see him during my week up there in the summer. I uploaded a video of him on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-92P8Xcdwh4 He loved to play ruff and no, he did not dig his claws in you or bite hard! I forgot his name... i'll have to ask. As for some funny news, we had no working toilets at work today... AGAIN. :P This happened on friday too... every toilet became clogged and overflowed haha! Only one toilet worked. The plumber guys came in the same day to fix it. Then today, just after we had our weekly meeting and our boss said all the toilets should be working well again, they overflowed! People who went to the bathroom came out AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH it is going all over the floor!!! and then the drain in the warehouse started overflowing too because it is connected to the sewage system. This time NO toilets worked lol. One guy ran to the restaurant to go do #2 but it was closed!! I don't know what he did after... not sure if I want to know! Plumber guy was back fixing it again when we left to go home. Apparently what is causing it is our neighbors. They are putting some chemical down the drain and it is crystallizing in the pipes and blocking them. Theres my ramble for the day.
First off, does the music playlist on my page work?? I've been getting reports that it is not... Anyway, finally added tons of new christmas tunes and not JUST those sappy ones! Also included twisted comical songs and songs that really get you doing the boogie! More to come as I find them... EDIT: Thanks to INTERNET EXPLORER (GRRRR I HATE IE), that is why my playlist was not working. Worked beautifully in Firefox but not IE. I can't even have a custom background on the player due to IE and it was a really cool one.
Ooooh my throat hurts!! I have strep throat that started wednesday morning but it got better during the day so I didn't think much of it. Thursday morning however, it came back and was worse. I went to work but I left early to go to the walk-in clinic and yep, strep throat was developing. I got some antibiotics now but they won't kick in for a few days. Now it is really hard to swallow my own spit! Meh... -.- Look at the bright side, probabily will loose lots of weight! While I was waiting for my prescription, I went to go look at the PC games in London Drugs. Lots out there I didn't know were released! Anyway, grabbed myself "The Orange Box". Which include Half-Life 2, HL2 Episode 1 & 2, Team Fortress 2, and Portals. Might as well make the trip worth it! Do some gaming to forget about my throat! I made some tea and went to try out "Portal" which is a new concept for the game developers. I enjoyed it so much that I didn't stop playing last night until I completed it. That's rare for me =P. Portals is a puzzle adventure game where you can make portals to solve unique challenges. If anyone likes those type of games. I didn't go to work today because it is highly contagious at this stage. Besides, don't think I could work with me jumping every time I swallow due to the pain. I just hope I don't get a fever next because that is usually what happens after strep throat. Anyway, take care everybody!
Hey! My first real blog! =P I never have anything to write about or don't know what to write about but this time I do! So read on if you will! It was certainly a crazy day today. Where to start.... woke up, got ready for work, I knew it was going to be a BUSY day today, and everything was normal until I got to work. Walked into the entrance and then WAM!! Sudden pain near my left shoulder blade. Spikes of pain kept shooting in that one spot and would not go away. Spent my first 15 minutes at work trying to recover.. could not move my back much. Took some Tylenol and Lakota and my back felt like it was on FIRE after I put that Lakota on =P. The sudden sharp pains stopped but I was still in pain in that one spot and I could not bend down but I continued working but doing easy stuff as I was not 100%. Eventually it got better around 10am where I could finally move around with little pain. I think I pulled a muscle or something! However, lol in a sense it worked out because I managed to skip out on a five skid order that me and a co-worker were going to do but she got another co-worker to help her lol. Instead, I started doing another order that I could pack on a table. So that was fine, 10am came and it was break time! Went on break, was outside with a few co-workers, chatting, and then when we were starting to head back inside after break we heard this big popping explosion and we were all like what the hell was that?. Went inside and it's DARK! Power went out! Started walking toward shipping, the lights tried to come back on but went poof again! A transformer exploded on the main road and that's what we heard. Walking back to shipping was not easy; it was pitch black inside the warehouse lol. We all grabbed the flashlights, opened all the bay doors and froze =P. We had no power which meant no computers so no processing orders! However, we had tons of orders to pick and pack so the whole office came out to join us and it was all crazy in the warehouse, everyone playing around and picking orders, packing etc. Was quite fun and interesting working in the dark! Going to the bathroom sucked though lol. Since we had no power to warm up our lunches, the boss ordered all of us pizza which was nice! :) Finally, the power came back on at about 1:30pm, but very weak to begin with... only the lights dimly turned on in certain parts of the warehouse, then one by one everything started turning back on. Then it was rush rush rush to process the orders and get them out to UPS and Canada Post. Sort of made the day go by fast for sure but we got it all out! Funny how we depend so much on electricity...
What a day, and its FRIDAY TOMORROW!
