Nice! I'd love to cosplay someday, don't know too many friends who would cause I ain't doing it alone sametime my anime knowledge is quiet limited so probably do a games character instead.
Happy Birthday! I was just checking out the list of movies that you like and youve got some gooooood list there... big daddy and bowlingforcolumbine are goood movies...well anyways party it up try and have an amazing bday
I love Avatar too. What'd you think of the finale?
I started wathcing anime as a kid (G-Force, Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon). I've seen a lot of series but if I had to narrow it down to my top 5 favorites would have to be Rurouni Kenshin, Fullmetal Alchemist, Naruto, Inuaysha and Death Note.
I'd reccomend any of them but most of all Fullmetal Alchemist or Death Note.
Been to any anime conventions? I was at Otakon this year, it was awesome.
Avatar's finale was...well, it was actually as epic and thorough as I knew it would be. But at heart I'm a huge Zutara fan, and so that really put a damper on it for me. Not that Aang doesn't deserve love---far from it. =) But I wish they had put more into it than a few hints and then one blush and end-kiss, sort of build the romance-thing. I liked how Aang was able to take away Ozai's bending ability and his "power" without killing him, but personally, I think a clever man with a heinously self-righteous and manipulatively psychotic attitude can still do terrible things, even if his overt power is gone. I just don't trust Ozai to remain like a good little whipped-dog in prison. Ah, but then there could be future movies springing from that. Not to mention, the search for Zuko's mother. It really bit that they never wrapped that particular by-line up. I was excited to hear about a movie coming out, but I read somewhere it's just a real-TV (vs. anime) version of Book I. Not sure how I feel about that. I'd like to see how the actors would portray the drawn characters, but I would like "new" stories of the ATLAverse vs. old ones redone.
But then I'm always dying to know "what happens/ed."
I've watched a little of Naruto, haven't gotten into it, but then I'm on a rabid YYH kick right now, and putting AMV's and fanfiction together has been taking all my time. LOL. I will have to sniff out FullMetal Alchemist and Death Note. I haven't seen either, but if they are some of your all-time favs, they must be good. I only started watching anime in the past few years. I remember watching Unico as a kid. LOL. I loved that movie. And I later had a bad copy of Project A-ko on VCR. (I'm revealing my true age, gasp. But now I have the money to go buy all the fan stuff I want. HA!)
I just went to my first con, actually. I went to Dragoncon, in Atlanta. I had so much fun, I want to go back next year. Although Dragoncon covers more general themes than just anime, I still saw awesome characters (even two girls dressed up as Kagome and Sango) and nabbed a couple of DVD's and manga. Not to mention some drool-worthy artwork, though it's not fan-art, just fantastic and makes the plot bunnies hop. =)
How was Otakon? What characters did you see? Did you meet anyone, or go as anyone?
Fellow anime fan here. Inuyasha's one of my favorite series.
It's awesome to know there are more of us here. =) I recently started watching Yu Yu Hakusho, Fushigiyugi (if I have that spelled right!) and Utena. I started with Cartoon Network, and fell in love with IY and others like Wolf's Rain. I became a rabid Avatard, though that's not really anime.
What are your favorites? Got any good ones to pass along? (I like your icon by the way!)
