You people are awesome.
Last year I got a large number of happy birthday wishes from people on here I didn't know. I found it really touching, which is saying something 'cause I don't usually refer to things as "touching". Yeah, it turns out I'm not that great with sincerity. But now we're getting off topic. A year has passed and it was my birthday again yesterday. Strange how that works. Once more I was greeted by a staggering number of birthday wishes on here, most of them from people I've never interacted with. True to form I, yet again, found it really touching that so many of you who don't know me would take a moment of your day to wish mine well. I'll admit that I'm sometimes prone to questioning the actions and behaviors of my fellow humans, but it's things like this reinstate my belief that I'm probably way too hard on you/them. Without going into too much personal detail it was a gesture that was particularly appreciated this year and I wanted to take a moment to thank the following people for making my birthday that much happier than it would've otherwise been:

I know you meant to, it probably just slipped your mind. That's alright. But let's not drop the ball next year, okay? If I'm gonna set the world "happy birthday" record I'm gonna need your help. I can't do this alone. Each and every one of you is important to my success. And, should you ever need me to assist you in a ridiculous record-breaking scheme of your own, know that I will be there.
