Sent you a friends request since I can empathize with what you wrote in your blog. I traveled often and distanced myself from my friends on purpose, but at good points in my life I was very social...I kind of regret a lot of what I did.
I actually worked in Bognor Regis not too far from Chichester. I used to get the bus there on saturday. Nice city! I also visited Brighton on a number of occasions. Thats a great place. I loved the south coast. I didn't really want to go back to Ireland but my parents were bugging me at the time so I went home. Yeah I know how the Irish used to stick together. All my Aunts and Uncles are still over there. Most would have married other Irish people meeting them at Irish Clubs or dances I went back with my Dad last year and he didn't recognize the place. Most of his mates are either dead or moved back to Ireland and his local Irish club is on it's last legs....just a few old boys in the corner. You should get your citizenship while you can as you are entitled to it having Irish parents/grandparents. there has been talks this might be scrapped as there has been a huge uptake of this especially as an Irish passport is now safer to travel on then other passports. Hope you are having a good day
yeah i loved newcastle! lived there just for a year a few years back because i moved away there to study at newcastle college. it felt like a town than a city though bit like wolverhampton lol. can i ask what you're self employed as?
Hi Richie, thanks for the request. I had to look up exactly where Dawlish is as I had never heard of it but I see it's in Devon. It's supposed to be beautiful in Devon and Cornwall. My Aunt and Uncle from London regularly visit Cornwall. I was actually born in England and worked in West Sussex for nearly a year :-) Wow you have ancestors from nearly every part of Ireland. I have the Cramberries on my list too. "Linger" is a favourite of mine.
hey richie, thanks for the friends request..and thank you for the nice pic comment...i see you're new here...i think you'll find lots of friendly people on this site to talk to...people that know and understand exactly what you're going through...well, it was nice meeting you..hope to talk to you again real soon:)
btw, i love Nine Inch Nails, too!!!
It's good that you try to stay open or at least understand why people like the music you don't particulary favor. I know why i hate (sorry to use the word, but it fits lol) some music like the newer rap and hiphop, but i can appreciate why some like it. The funny thing is when i find someone who loves almost everything i do until they come across a few songs they absolutely can't stand. I always find that interesting and the same goes for vice versa.
I checked out RJD2 and i enjoyed Ghostwriter a lot, but some i couldn't stand lol
