Hi Steve. I never seem to catch you online. I mostly go on late when the kids are in bed and I guess you are a morning man! Can I ask why you moved to the states and returned? I'm always interested about the issues that affect ex-pats and what makes them return as i'm one myself. I've seen many go back to the UK and many who would never dream of returning. It did cross me mind in the beginning but I wouldn't ever want to leave now.
A few months here and you'll be begging to go back! It is actually possible to miss the rain. If we get a freak cloudy day during the summer we are dancing with joy. Actually the dancing was before when we were doing the rain dance!
I understand. There's always some that will give you grief! But it's good that you mostly enjoy it as when I stopped enjoying work I stopped working! That was a bad move, as not having to go out gave me an excuse not to, and my SA worsened. Now I can't even bring myself to look for a job as the interview and getting to know new people seems terrifying!
Your job sounds like fun! Do you find it easy talking to the tourists, because it's part of your job? I found that when I worked in customer service I didn't have a problem dealing with things because it was work and not social.
I know all about living in a tourist destination! Cyprus' economy near enough relies totally on the tourist industry. I dread to think what would happen if they stopped coming! I take it your job revolves around holiday makers?
