I wish I could say that New Year was better. Unfortunatley I was the victim of a serious assault on New Year and spent most of the night in hospital due to have been slashed down my forehead. Upon getting home from the hospital around lunch time on New Year's day I later found out that the son (aged 10) of my on/off girlfriend (who has been in Iraq) tired to kill himself. He was brought back to life and is still in a hospital but that is all I know for the moment. I hope he is going to be ok. 

Just got out of hospital after having a biopsy and endoscopy. I have to say that rather unpleasant. I can now empathize with the guy in Alien.Hahaha! Anyway....I'm glad that's over. :) I'll have to wait 3 weeks or so on the results although they did say they saw at least 12 x 150mg Trazadone tablets in my stomache. WTF? I take one a night so that is more than a bit strange but also may explain why I get so violently ill now and again if there can be that many sitting there and then they suddenly do start being digested all at once. They didn't even talk to me after all was done or even tell me to stop taking them. I really didn't expect that at all. I just want to know what is going on with this and why they had to do a biopsy. Has anyone else had any problems with meds like this?

Well.....I finally had enough of procrastinating about giving up smoking and actually manged to quit this week. I haven't had a smoke now since last Sunday. After so many years of smoking it's good to feel that I've finally stopped. *GRIN*

I am saddened today after the Junta's forces attcked the monks' peaceful demonstrations in Burma today. 2 monks were left dead after today's protest and unfortunatley it looks like there may be a lot more in the coming days. I wish these incredibly brave and selfless monks all the luck in the coming days of the protest. 

The weather was actually good for a change today so rather than doing any more recording (the reason I took the day off work.LOL) we decided to head down to the beach which is about 5 mins walk from my house. I put some pictures up of the morning.

Well....the room is almost finished and not before time. I still have a ton of cabling to sort out. Apart from that I just need to move all my vinyl back in along with my other random rubbish.LOL I posted some pics of it at the moment. I was kidding myself by thinking I could paint it, build the worktops and rewire it all in 3 days.Hahaha! It'll be good to relax when it's finished.*GRIN*

Well.....this is my first ever blog on the net. I'll just keep this first one simple as I could write a virtual essay if I were to write about my life or problems therein at the moment.LOL

On a plus note my infrared filter for my camera arrived this morning. *GRIN* Hopefully I'll get out and eventually post some infrared photos when I get the hang of it a bit better. My new MOTU audio interface was supposed to arrive this morning but is a no show. I am hoping it will turn up soon. I always stress when ordering something expensive over the net in case it doesn't show. Hmm!

I have the day off work though.*GRIN* I decided to take the next couple of Mondays off as work is starting to get to me. My day job is working for our equivilant of the D.A.'s office. I have been dealing with some particularly nasty and harrowing cases recently so it's good to get a day off and not look at that side of life today.
