Scott Walker, Beatles, some classical especially Schubert, Slint, Smog, Bob Dylan, the Coral, Nick Drake, Talk talk, Cecil Taylor, Morton Feldman, Gene Clark, Persian traditional music

W.G. Sebald, Virginia Woolf, Carson Mc Cullers, Thomas Hardy, T.S. Eliot, Kafka, Shena Mackay

walking in the woods especially in autumn, rainy days, sloths, old teddy bears, writing letters, sitting up on my roof watching the seagulls flying around, poetry, talking to understanding people, drinking lots of coffee, old '80s childrens tv, sleeping, fussing over my cat Maurice, wild boars, putting things in inverted commas, clockwork monkeys, the moon, night time, curlews, old letters

being in cars, hot days on crowded beaches, mornings(i'm a real 'night owl' predictably enough), people with dogmatic opinions about things they don't really know much about

I have pretty bad social anxiety and am generally quite an introspective person who obsesses far too much about all sorts of things. On the positive side I'm quite tolerant and non-judgemental.

Hey tess!! Good to hear from you!!
Touch wood..the guy SEEMS to have finally got the message...and hopefully won't cause any trouble at my mums. I don't think he will now, as his voicemails and letters have finally stopped. PHEW!! I'm glad you got through your doc's appointment. It really horrifying to feel your going to pushed into something you're not ready for, and will make you fall apart.
Do you feel any changes in yourself from being on here?
I've just been chatting to a girl on here who thinks the cause of her sa is low self esteem, and is planning on figuring out how to work on improving that, to see if it helps. It makes a LOT of sense to me!!

For years I've got used to thinking my 'small' achievements aren't important, and being angry with myself...but really when we start to see them as building blocks and giving them the recognition they deserve, (ie..the START of building our strength up to be able to kick off the sad....) then we start to see how important it is to congratulate ourselves even for the smallest sucessess...because they're what we need to set us up on a positive attitude towards ourselves..
My goals now are to 'succeed' in SETTING SMALL GOALS and tell myself WELL DONE for EVERY NEW SUCCESS IN THE DAY....ee how that goes!!!!
THANKYOU HUN for your GOOD WEEK WISHES!!!
I wish the VERY same for you!!!!
I hope this finds you warm and well wrapped up for this beautiful autumn weather...have you been managing out to enjoy it???

Really glad you like my bears. Unfortunately I didn't make them myself- they're old bears from the 1930s which I've collected over the years. I like your poem by the way- is it one of yours?

Well then nice collection! That old? They are in very good condition. Yes, I did write it. Thanks for the comment even though it's VERY mediocre.

I hope you enjoy your week!
