collecting music, retro TV (mainly 70s/80s), watching videos and DVDs, looking at stuff on the net, walking, trying to help people with problems

I don't watch films very often as I find it hard to concentrate on something for long periods of time. Some that I do like include Terminator, Naked Gun, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, The Shining, Tin Men, The Long Good Friday, Guest House Paradiso and all of the Monty Python films.

Some of the TV programmes I like include The Young Ones, Bottom, Monty Python, Not The Nine O'Clock News, Blackadder, Red Dwarf, The X-Files, Life On Mars, The New Statesman, Father Ted, Drop The Dead Donkey, One Foot In The Grave, The Fast Show, Men Behaving Badly, Little Britain, Love Soup, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Rising Damp, Alexei Sayle, Kenny Everett, Harry Enfield and many others. Also been a fan of Looney Tunes cartoons for most of my life.

All kinds, classic hits from the 60s,70s and 80s, rock, electronic, punk, new wave. Queen, The Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Hollies, Madness, Sex Pistols, PiL, Pet Shop Boys, Donovan, The Police, Squeeze, XTC, Thin Lizzy, Buzzcocks, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Ian Dury, Joe Jackson, Rory McLeod, Gary Numan, The Passage, The Shadows and many others.

Hi, I've suffered from Social Anxiety and OCD for most of my life. In the last few years I've learned more about OCD and been able to deal with it. For years I had to do many rituals which made my day-to-day life very difficult. Now I mainly suffer from intrusive thoughts and have got some of the old obsessions under control.

For me, suffering from Social Anxiety is more debilitating than OCD as I find it very difficult to make friends and even harder to meet women. But both have contributed to depression in the past.

I think the idea of a friends site for people with SA is a really good idea. I've wasted a lot of time on well known dating sites with lots of members. I've subscribed and sent messages out and had next to no replies. Added to which I still have the fear of being rejected by someone who might not (or doesn't want to) understand my condition.

I feel strongly about society and how mental illness is viewed and I think the more that people can try to understand each other, the better chance we have of creating a more integrated society.

If this all sounds a bit too deep, I've also got a great sense of humour and have a warm and friendly personality!! That is when I come out of my shell!

Hi there. My mobile broadband is letting me go on this site again so I thought I'd say hi and hope you've had a good weekend. I've got Maurice on my lap so it's a bit hard to type. He's very comforting though. Will write soon, take care

Not too bad .i had a lot of anxiety a few weeks ago work etc. I went back to my doc and have been put back on cipramil. It's only starting to work after 3 weeks on it. I had 2 weeks holidays too so it was good to not have to deal with work for a while
