World domination. What? Okay, so not really. The truth is more boring. I like to read a lot, surf the net, listen to music, watch my favorite shows on tv and dvd (I'm a couch potato. I won't deny it), see the occasional movie, watch stand-up comedy, draw when the inspiration strikes, spend time with friends (but who doesn't?), hang out with my sister, and play with my nephew. He's cute-tastic.

Ooh, I suck at listing favorite movies. I'm way too indecisive for that. But I can list some I like at least; how about that?
-The Hours
-Reality Bites
-Office Space
-Dazed and Confused
-Best In Show
-Bring It On
-Pride and Prejudice
-Stranger Than Fiction
-South Park (the movie)
-As Good as it Gets
-Knocked Up
-Mean Girls
-Clueless
-Bad Santa
-Contact
-Silence of the Lambs
-Requiem For a Dream
-Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
-So I Married An Axe-Murderer
-Playing By Heart
-But I'm a Cheerleader
-Loving Annabelle
-Imagine Me and You
-Dangerous Beauty
-Elizabeth
-Snow Falling on Cedars
-Napoleon Dynamite
-all the Austin Powers movies
-The Evil Dead
-Mallrats
-When Harry Met Sally (and pretty much almost any Meg Ryan romantic comedy. She almost always does good ones, like "You've Got Mail", "French Kiss," etc.)
-Bridget Jones' Diary (the first though. The sequel sucked)
-Billy Madison
-Happy Gilmore
-The Wedding Singer
-Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion
-The Truth About Cats and Dogs
-Little Women
-Wayne's World I and II
-Keeping the Faith
-Love Actually
-Girl, Interrupted
-the Halloween series (I'm always up for a good horror movie. I'm a sucker for them)

**I need a section for TV shows I like too, both past and present. Just because. So here goes:

-Gilmore Girls
-Bones
-The X Files
-Buffy the Vampire Slayer
-Angel
-Gossip Girl
-Sex and the City
-House
-My So-Called Life
-The L Word
-Saturday Night Live
-So You Think You Can Dance
-Jeopardy
-Win Ben Stein's Money
-America's Next Top Model
-Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist
-The Colbert Report
-The Daily Show
-South Park
-Shorties Watchin' Shorties
-Comedy Central Presents (and any stand-up show, period)
-Aeon Flux
-Freaks and Geeks
-Everwood
-Mystery Science Theater 3000
-Veronica Mars
-Weeds

I'm pretty eclectic. I'd list off a chunk of the songs I have on the MP3 playlist I'm listening to right now, but there's over 400 songs on there. (So, no. Heh) But there's a good variety on there. Ani Difranco, The Dresden Dolls, Notorious BIG, Johnny Cash, Tool, Tegan and Sara, Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead, Bright Eyes, Jump Little Children, Bjork, Jeff Buckley, Nas, Eels, The Beatles, Sheryl Crow, Jill Scott, Imogen Heap, The Killers, The Indigo Girls, Elisa, Kanye West, Sarah McLachlan, Snow Patrol, Madonna, The Dandy Warhols, Wu-Tang Clan, India Arie, Death Cab For Cutie, Muse, Natalie Merchant, Coldplay, The Guano Apes, Gary Jules, Portishead, The Fray, The Weepies, Jay Z, Heather Nova, Erykah Badu, Sublime, Something Corporate, the list goes on. I like a lot of stuff from different genres, depending on my mood.

Sincerity, intelligence, kindness, a critical but open mind, a good sense of humor, an appreciation for sarcasm, and a hint of eccentricity and goofiness.

I'd say the biggest would be ignorance, especially willful ignorance (i.e. the "I don't know squat about the world around me, and don't want to" attitude). Especially if it's someone who walks around voicing loud opinions on things they know nothing about. That drives me mental.

I'm terrible at describing myself in things like this. I always end up writing a novel. And not the Great American Novel either, unfortunately. More like just rambling ramblyness. But that's okay. I'll just skip that part for now and move on to why I'm here. I've been dealing with Social Anxiety Disorder since I was a teenager (with my main issues revolving around doing things in front of people, like eating/drinking in public, signing my name, etc.), and even though I've come far in some ways I still struggle with it a lot more than I'd like. I think it's great though that this place exists; it makes me feel a lot less alone.
