TV's first symphonic concerts CBS televises a concert by the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra on this day in 1948. On the same day, the NBC Symphony Orchestra also played a televised concert, carried on five TV channels and simulcast over numerous FM and AM radio stations. The two events were the first symphonic concerts to appear on television, and the NBC concert was the first simulcast.
Hi Jane, I've had problems with the likes of facebook and myspace too. I was only on facebook for a week as I kept being bombarded with silly applications and requests by a friend who asked me to join! And I've also met some bad people on MySpace who are fixated by status.
