haha well i thought it was interesting. i like those type of movies where it seems more real than "hey were actors in a movie!"

Yes actually, I have seen the squid and the whale :) That's definitely a "real" type of movie lol. Has some pretty funny scenes too. However, the weird library/school scenes with the little boy were a bit too much for me and weirded me out a little. You know what though, even with those scenes I thought that movie really showed how kids and families have a hard time with divorce. I come from a divorced family and since I am an only child I had to go through a lot alone growing up. I think that movie really captures that kind of experience well. the fear and uncertainty of youth can be so hard i think...anyway, sorry for all my philosophizing lol I get like that a lot haha. Oh and Smart People is great and I bet you would love it hmmm movie talk with you is fun...what about the movie Broken Flowers? seen it?

aw man that sucks. Yeah I remember really not having much of a clue as to how it would end before reading the last volume. I don't know what it's like in the anime, but in the manga the artist did an amazing job at making his death uber dramatic, was quite exciting. Why only the adult swim site?

I'm watching the birds outside on my mum's feeders, their so CUTE!! %here's about 20 of them, and there's lots of bluetits and coaltits and finches with their black and white hoods and yellow/green/blue bodies.
She lives out in a beautiful part of the scottish countryside, the scenery is fantastic here too, rolling hills and beautiful old trees and houses.

That impresses me that you like Lost In Translation Most people i know hate that movie and think it's boring. Only certain kinds of people understand it i think. People's taste in music, art, and movies tends to tell me a lot about them. HAHA maybe i'm too analytically minded though! Yeah Jackson Pollack is pretty sweet. I love abstract expressionism. I had a teacher that let me study it for art history back when i was in high school. As far as Mr. Costello, I wish i had his sense of style lol. I don't know which cd of his you have, but I always thought he dressed really cool. Sort of has a Buddy Holly thing going on. Oh, have you seen Lost In Translation? That movie has an awesome karaoke scene with bill murray, scarlet johanssen, and japanese folk singing an elvis costello song! check it out when you get the time

Thank you. I actually like the manga a lot more than what I've seen of the anime, but I've heard others feel the opposite way as well. I only saw the first episode but I couldn't help but laugh at how dramatic they made it when he was writing a slew of names in the notebook, and then made him totally exhausted afterwards lol. There is this one scene that's only in the anime where L is in the rain. I'm guessing it's for L fan service of some sort but it's an episode that I've been wanting to check out for a while.
