I know too well how you feel about striving for perfection. I used to be a perfectionist in my teens and 20's. In the past few years, I have since learned to change that perception of reality.
The key is to get comfortable with yourself in the situation you are facing. It takes effort, yet mostly a change in perception of self and others around you. It does not need to be or require a long process as most will tell you on this forum.
The level of personal comfort influences human action and human perception at all times.
