I'm Amanda, I'm 20 years old and a student at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. I'm a psychology major. I commute to school (2 days a week this semester) and live in nearby Montgomery.
I'm a year behind in school due to my social anxiety. I recently moved to this area to be able to go back to school after breaking up with my boyfriend of 6 years, and I don't know anyone besides immediate family. So most of the time I'm stuck inside watching TV, reading, on the computer, etc.
I have literally no friends here, and the thought of going back to college is daunting. So I'm feeling very anxious these days. I've been to psychiatrists and therapists before for my social anxiety, and have been prescribed medications (I'm currently not on any medication, but I would like to be I think).
