Every ssri I have taken, I’ve developed acne.  I was taking Zoloft, until this past Monday because I got acne from it.   My doctor said it’s a 5% people will experience this side effects. Therefore I stopped taking any more ssri. Did anyone get acne from taking ssri medications ?  researching really hard in the internet, i discovered alot of individuals that had to stop because of this side effect.

Can't say I noticed my acne worsen or decrease due to different medications, but everyone responds differently.  I know I suffered from numerous other side-effects that caused me to quit several medications.  Despite being in the same family, the side-effects differed with each medication.  I think it's worth continuing trying different meds, perhaps you'll find one that doesn't cause you any problems.

Yup! Zoloft gave me acne and made me gain ten lbs. As if I wasn't depressed enough already! I'm not taking anything right now but I'm planing on going back to college  in september and I'm gonna need something. Any suggestions?

I never associated my acne with the SSRI until now. I just thought I was getting it because of stress or something, but it does seem to have gotten worse lately, no matter what I do. Ugh! What a lose-lose situation!

I've never noticed acne from an SSRI, but I think they make my hair thin out really bad... Prozac did, and now the Lexapro is doing it too... I guess everybody's different. But one thing I will say is that Wellbutrin did not make my hair fall out. Go figure.
