Okay - I am livid. In a two-hour span at my beach, this is what I saw:
A woman yelling at her two little girls about drying off. They turn and run to the sand, and she yells at them again! "Don't go into the sand! Let's go!"
A man semmingly punching (yes, PUNCHING) a young boy in the tush for throwing sand. Granted, he was just over a year old and wearing a diaper, but that was unacceptable.
A woman from the same group, repeatedly shouting at the same boy and two others, cussing at them about getting their bathingsuits dirty. Hello, let them go into the water! What's the matter, can't you supervise?
Another woman cussing out her son for going into the water and then telling him that they are going to go. She drags the boy by the arm and he begins to cry. They put all of their things in an inflatable horsey raft and drag in to the car on the sidewalk. Hello?!?! It'll POP! :(
It made me think of badly the parents are acting compared to the kids! It's no wonder the kids don't listen. Do these people really want the kids? I can't fathom cussing and my children hearing me cuss! They emulate the parents. I want my kids to behave but I don't want to do what they are doing. I don't have kids, by the way, well except for my imaginary illegitimate children Johnny (8) and Suzanne ("Susie", 6). I still don't know who the mother is, so don't ask me!
