Oh I gotta write about this..its the most exciting eventfull thing that's happened to me lately lol.
The other night, I went to go nurse Serenity in my bed, and Sawyer (my 4 year old) asked if he could crawl in with us. Feeling guilty is like, part of being a parent, but I've felt bad because Sawyer used to be the "baby" and get all my attention so I was like, of course you can. He fell asleep, and she fell asleep, so I decided to sneak out and sit on my puter to unwind after a long day.
I check on the baby every 10-15 minutes- so I asked Jonah (my 9 year old) to go check on her quick, and all of a SUDDEN all hell breaks loose! I hear screaming! I bolted and flew out of my chair- down the hall in like, 3 steps LOL. Before I could get in the room, Jonah flings his whole body at mine and cowers into a fetal position with his hands over his head screaming and cowering. I get into the room scared out of my mind, to find that Sawyer is dead asleep ontop of the baby! Her little face was pointed out toward me and she was screaming (though not as loud as her big brothers LOL!) I instantly slapped Sawyers chubby butt 2 times to try to revive him and he's still sleeping (OMG I dont know how) so I grabbed ahold of one arm and leg and swung him up to a standing position where he finally woke up haha.
The baby was FINE, she stopped crying instantly and I went to feed her. Jonah however, was still screaming and sobbing hard...I had to yell at him to help his brother to bed after he ignored me using a regular voice. Then, he crawled in with us to be next to the baby and was still crying hard. I was like, 'Honey, she's fine...why don't you go back to watching your movie?" He wouldn't and was crying so hard I thought he was gonna hyperventilate. I felt bad for him but ribbed him gently until I got him laughing at his own reaction lol. I joked that I'm glad he's got such a big heart but I don't like that in the event of a REAL emergency, he goes into a fetal position LOL!
I'm so proud of that kid...he doen't do very well achedemically, and isn't always responsible, but we're working on that. Otherwise, he's the sweetest kid you'd ever meet...very gentle with little kids, always goofy and silly cutting up...you rarely see him with a straight face. The baby adores him, and will laugh when nobody else can pull a smile out of her. Even his teachers who report that he's doing bad in school throw in that he's the nicest kid, will jump up out of his seat to hug other kids that are crying etc. We have to remind him sometimes to act more serious etc. but really the world can use more people like him.
He was always kinda a Momma's boy growing up, but now that he's getting older (and trying to be "cool") he's trying to slip out of that. He'll joke about me with his Dad. Then they agree on everything and copy eachother lol, puke puke. I might get a little jealous but don't say nothin' - I get it. This is the world of male-bonding. I don't really understand it but I recognise it lol. He's still Momma's boy when things get serious.
The day before, a neighbor girl who's 18, was being mean to Jonah and his friend Kyle while they were building a fort in the backyard, and she pinched his nose hard..he come in by me and was crying. I got so mad...I almost never yell, even at my own kids, but I yelled at her and chewed her @$$ GOOD LOL! I called her up (I'm friends with her parents and have known them for years) and said "Hey I've got a bone to pick with you! DONT TOUCH MY KID! OK?!" She didn't respond, then I screamed OKAY?!! LOL!! She burst into tears yelling and I hung up the phone, then she came down to apologise. I told her that since she's about to be 18 she can get into serious trouble for touching younger kids, she'd better learn about it here and now from me, cuz the LAW says that she's supposed to know better at 18. Dammit!
Jonah was nervous at first and wanted to hide when she came down but I told him he didn't have to, so he sat there listening while I ranted lol. Then I told her, "You basically de-masculated him in frount of his freind." Jonah chimed in "Yes, you did Trey." To which I had to chuckle and said,"You don't even know what that means." LOL! I told her that him and his friend were trying to act like "big men" building their fort out there and then she comes along, being all bossy etc. and embarrassed him in frount of his friend..that's why he was crying. "Better not happen again." I warned.
After that they were all friends, helping eachother.
Apparently she had wanted to help them and they wouldn't let her, but I asked her if she was being bossy or friendly when she had first asked.
&nb sp; Darn, I gotta go
