Thank to everyone who wished me a happy birthday! It was SO appreciated.
I'll tell you a little bit about what happened.
*I started out getting legal....I had to renew my driver's license (four years) that expired Friday. Bad webcam picture - made me look bald and I have hair! I also had to get the license plate sticker - total $78.50. My card expires in 2012, and the plate in 2009. All good.
*I got breakfast at Tim Horton's - two muffins (one bran - gotta stay regular now that I am 29+
)
*I got lunch at Fazoli's
*I went to my beach for 90 minutes. I think the replaced sand lost in the flood. The water level is back to normal (and hopefully will reced a bit more).
*I talked to my mom - since she couldn't call me; I called her. The first thing she said was Happy Birthday. Like duh, she gave birth to me!
Moms know. Don't mess with Mom!
*I baked my birthday cake. I had bought my cake mix and frosting way back when it was on sale (they do keep a long while). I think it cost $2.50 total. With 3 eggs - the cake amounted to $2.75. As you have noticed, I have learned how to shop. ;) The cake was German Chocolate with Coconut Pecan frosting. The cake was good - although I need to work on getting the layers out of the pans in one piece (I was 90% successful this time!). I have two more cake mixes and even a cheesecake mix, so I have practice.
*I did NO WORK - I took the day off, too - It's John Day, Millennium Man Day! I made a vow in 2000 that I would never work on my birthday again, no matter what day of the week it is! I am given 16 vacation days this year and this was only my second day off! The year will be half over on July 2!
So that was my day - I spent it alone because I wanted peace and quiet. I got it!!!
