hi there

A sign of the times, no? A whole social networking site about social anxiety. Not that it's about social anxiety, but that it's such a specific niche. Actually, maybe it's a sign that it's for social anxiety. I suppose there are more socially anxious people 'these days.' [Arg, that's like 'sexually active,' so awkward.] I don't know what I'd do if I lived in the times before email. It's so impersonal and disconnected [a cozy, comfy heaven for me.]

PS- Gardening is amazing. I hate exercising. I live on a pretty busy road so I feel weird and nervous walking or running on it. But gardening takes more out of you than you'd imagine, especially if the land you're working on hasn't had anything done to it in awhile... [wild blackberries take over like you couldn't imagine]

Yes, a social network for people with social anxiety is a bit of an oxymoron, but I've enjoyed my time here.  As for the internet and e-mail, I'm not sure if it's helped or hurt me.  If I look at the last 10 years, without the internet I would have had almost no social interaction at all, but I also wonder if I would have gotten off my butt and done more if I didn't have the net as a fall back.
