Do you ever wonder what our thoughts would be like if we didn't have language? I mean, when I think, I think in English. What if I didn't know English or any language whatsoever? Animals think, and though they have means of communicating with one another, they do not have language. What is it like to think without words, or letters? I think my thinking would be more free, the very essence of my thoughts not being roped in by the limitations of words and their various meanings, connotations, etc. I would think in faces. I would think in light. I would think in colors and hues. I would think in texture and sensation. I would think in ways that could never even begin to be harnessed by the English word "think".
