Hospital then worse

I wish I could say that New Year was better. Unfortunatley I was the victim of a serious assault on New Year and spent most of the night in hospital due to have been slashed down my forehead. Upon getting home from the hospital around lunch time on New Year's day I later found out that the son (aged 10) of my on/off girlfriend (who has been in Iraq) tired to kill himself. He was brought back to life and is still in a hospital but that is all I know for the moment. I hope he is going to be ok.

How scary that must have been for you, and then to hear about him trying to hurt himself. I hope he's going to be okay.

I am sorry that you are going through all of this.  2008 hasn't started off very well, but the key is that you and your girlfriend's son are going to be okay.  Does he have anybody he can talk to (if you aren't able to)?  He must be going through a lot, too :(.
