All About Me

LIFE: my life is basically different to others my age. For starters, I have alot of symptoms of a Neurosis, and I have considered that I might have Body Dysmorphic Disorder and Depression as well as Social Anxiety. I haven't actually been tested for any of these, but my school counsellour said I had symptoms of SA and I need it checked out.

FAMILY: my biological father (who I don't talk to these days) had Bipolar and sometimes I have some of the symptoms of that too. My mum has had a rough life but she is strong emotionally so she can pull through it. She actually brought up that I probably have a Neurosis, because she had it once as well. My older brother is Autistic, and he comes down once a month to stay at our house, because he has been put into special care. I once had a little sister that had Cystic Fibrosis, but she died when I was 1 year 4 and a half months (she was only like 2 and a half months old) from SIDs. After that, mum kicked my dad out because he was manic, selfish, unresponsible and scared us kids (no offense to you Bipolar sufferers out there). Then mum met my stepdad, thus bringing about my two younger sisters and brother. They have no big illnesses like my brother, my sister and I had, but they are kinda feral.

FRIENDS: I have quite alot of friends from all types of social groups (I'm not prejudiced). I feel very different to all of my friends: I don't feel like a normal teenager. But no-one usually makes a big deal about it, so it's cool.

LOVE: I have never actually been in a proper relaionship. People have liked me before, but I'm not ready to be in a relationship just yet.

Nice introduction.  It sounds like you have had some difficulties in your family life, but you have persevered.  Hopefully SAF will be helpful to you in dealing with your SA and forging friendships. :)
