Optimism (at least for now)
Posted On 11/11/2008 09:23:38 by lyricalillusions

I'm feeling pretty optimistic right now . It probably won't lat very long (it never does), but for now, it's good.

Today, I did something I've been really anxious worried about for the last month. It's something that's probably nothing to most people, but was a lot to me: I went to the college, handed in my application, spoke to an academic advisor, & applied for financial aid (& was approved immediately , I couldn't believe it!). I did stumble, & mumble over words, es... Read More

The way you looked at me
Posted On 11/08/2008 01:27:52 by mumblygirl2008

A couple of days ago, I was just buying one of Quizno's delicious, traditional sandwiches in the college. Wheat bread, onions, lettuce, you get the point...hehe. I was waiting in line, anxious as usual, trying not to stare at the employees's faces or what they were doing (a little bit of anxiety and "don't want to be rude" mentality mixed in together). One of the employees was a brunette-haired girl with a deep Spanish accent; the other was a regular, tall-looking fellow who waited at the oth... Read More

Paranoid
Posted On 11/06/2008 08:51:29 by mumblygirl2008

I was sooo busy yesterday studying for a computer application test and sometimes goofing around with music, that I didn't have time to do my usual audio therapy session. It wasn't the studying that really affected my anxiety at school, but goofing around and listening to music during my breaks instead of doing the therapy. So karma really did creep up on me today. When people stared at me or I was paranoid that they were, my negative voice started speaking again: "Why are they only... Read More

Crush on Professor
Posted On 10/31/2008 12:49:21 by mumblygirl2008

Ever since my very first day in college, he was the one instructor who I felt the most anxiety towards, but didn't know why. Other professors I could at least try to ask questions privately to, but I sat in the front rows where he can see me, but never asked him anything. He is funny, nice, warm, intelligent of course, helpful, soft-spoken, and even acknowledges my presence when I least expect or want it . I would even say I am intimidated or scared of him. As corny as this all soun... Read More

"You talk different, but sexy"
Posted On 10/10/2008 06:25:22 by mumblygirl2008

Today was something different from the usual Hurry-and-Get-Out-of-School-It 's-Friday!! plan. I was almost late for school because I usually got up at 6:00 AM, but woke up around 7:35 AM this time. I took forever to get ready, but was lucky to arrive 4-5 minutes before class started.

It was pretty boring as you can imagine. hehe. We were just turning in our essays, but I won't go into any details about the environmen t or the professor droning on by he... Read More
