Anxiety has played a large part in my life, both the anxiety itself and my perceptions about it. But, my perceptions about it have changed and I would like to overcome the anxiety such that it is not such a major theme in my life.

As sufferers from anxiety I think we possess a sensitivity to others emotions, which can be overwhelming to us, but can also be harnessed in a postive way.

I'm on this site to contact others who have dealt with and/or are dealing anxiety, to provide support and friendship to each other. It would also be nice to meet up with some local people as face-to-face communication is something that we tend to avoid, and it would be nice to have some friends which actually understand what you are going through.

I have setup an Australian forum for discussing social anxiety at: http://www.freeforum101.com/saaust/.

Oohh I watch The Bill sometimes, when my dad get's off the sports channel, I watch it.  I've heard of the Office but not any of the others. Fawlty Towers and One Foot in the Grave were brilliant programs, the waiter in fawlty towers made me laugh. You used to live in england then? Cool, how come you moved to Australia? I would like to go to Australia one day.

Ah Neighbours, I used to watch that all the time I never missed an episode but now I don't watch it at all. It got stupid and I never watched Home and Away also I think The Adventures of Blinkbill have gone off the air here. Do you get any British programs in Australia?

Cool, I just went on youtube and found the intro for it so it was making me laugh, such a long time since I last watched it. I think I have the film somewhere to, not sure. Anyway indeed it was a great cartoon and great user name.

Blinkybill - I know that name from somewhere. Isn't it off The Adventures of Blinky Bill because I used to watch when I was a little girl. Just wondering.
