psycho-pharmaco-genetics, that is a new concept for me. It could be a good thing for those with the specific gene the article mentioned. But of course, not everyone with depression has the gene, sometimes life just gets you down :(

Have you ever tried Wellbutrin? For me it had the effect of being able to eat anything I wanted and still lose weight.

I could use a "Paxil Lite" that has the benefit of NOT gaining weight. In fact, a lot of SSRIs need this! :)

I am skeptical of any "new" study that claims to be the magic answer to life's problems. Maybe the importance of prevention should be studied too. But im not sure if drug companies profit from that.

It would be fantastic if someday we could have a blood test that would show any specific problems, what medication would help the most.
