I recently went out wit some old friends...one is pregnant and the other one is really big like 300 lbs. They are some of the coolest people. They were both flirting with the waiter and this other cute guy, making eye contact, and everything. And I was like wow I need to be able to do that...and the men responded to them even if they were really big because they were confident...well she said I am so closed off and I need to be more open...that she is a free spirit and I need to be more comfortable with myself and my body...cuz i do have a really nice shape...hips and booty lol

I tend to be solitary, but indeed it is unhealthy to lack socialization... especially if you want more than you have. Humans are social animals... being around others is what the body and mind is designed for. Humans and other social animals, put in isolation, develop terrible physical and mental health problems - even if they're properly fed and all that. Simply being isolated can kill a human baby (SIDS). All of the research showing how good pets can be for a person's health relates with this topic.

I like how informative this article is but I question its research. Is having friends really better than being alone? Certainly a solitude state has its own awards which friendship may not provide and vice versa. I don't think being alone is as painful as the article states but it can be devastating when its excessive(which I can relate to). I SOMETIMES would like to have few friends but not many because I'm too paranoid. This article is so descriptive but it seems so biased and opinionated.

im ryan. just for the record, i do want to make friends, but then again, on the other hand, my anxiety is so bad from making them, from being screwed over, by pretty much every friend ive ever made, that now i have really bad trust issues. so its hard. im still not opposed to the idea though obviously, just kinda weary about it, but then again, i know this is for the best. so if you wanna give me a shout, feel free.

research shows that having positive social contacts can decrease the risk of dementia by up to 60 percent.
I have many friends. There all here with me right now. "What was that Joe?...."Oh right.
time to go stick my head in the oven"
"ok".
I like to have friends that understand. SA.
