My personality type: the independent thinker

Hi my name is Andy. I was diagnosed with social and generalized anxiety disorder as well as post-traumatic stress disorder about a year ago. But, I'm not sure if these are my underlying problems or just symptoms of a deeper problem. At any rate, I reached a difficult point in my life last year with depression, anxiety, and agoraphobia. Since then, I've gotten help and I've been able to recover and reach a level of healthy living again. My family life has been an ordeal since I was toddler because of several issues like alcoholism, child abuse, and family dysfunction in general. Recently, (about two years ago) my dad revealed that he is a transexual and has always had an inborn desire to be a woman. So in addition to the usual problems associated with living in an alcoholic family, it now feels like I have lost my dad too. And to compound my problems further, my brother (who has severe autism) will have to move away within the next year because my parents are getting too old and will be unable to take care of him. So it honestly feels like my family is disintegrating. In the meantime I'm trying the best that I can to graduate from college (I am an Accounting Major) and hoping that my dad will eventually return to the workforce (he's been unemployed for about eight years). Since I have started seeing a counselor and taking prescription medication, my life has improved exponentially and I'm starting to feel more like my old self. If anyone wants to talk or anything I would love to hear from you. Please feel free to leave me a comment or message! =)

You Act Like You Are 28 Years Old

You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel like an adult, and you're optimistic about life.

You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

You're still figuring out your place in the world and how you want your life to shape up.

The world is full of possibilities, and you can't wait to explore many of them.

Hey! I'm happy it made you happy  thanks for your nice comment it's made me happier. I'm not up to much, I've got to go see some relatives today. I'm not looking forward to it as I thought there was only going to be 8 people I know quite well there but no there's going to be about 30 and half of them I don't know. They're sending me into hell.

Cozmo I think is now starting to realise that he's all alone but I'm afraid if I get another fish they'll start fighting or worse start mating.  I haven't done any writing at all my laptop is still needs a new battery and we can't get one so I'm just making notes on pad with a pen, the old fashion way. When I do start typing again I will let you have a read of some of it. My weekend hasn't really been that enjoyable and now it's just going to get worse at my relatives. Hope your weekend is going better than mine is.

Hey Andy, unfortunately I have no idea what kind of team the Canadian men have...or even the Canadian women. I've only ever watched a few games of the women's U19. I'm not too enthusiastic about Canada in soccer :P, but lets hope the US make something :)
My weekend' going alright, nothing excititing, but just resting. How is your going Andy? :)
