I tend to find interests that are quickly dismissed for another one. This is something i'm working on. Too many interests, not enough lifespan. What i'm fond of: Design, sewing, photography, pottery/ceramics, jewelry making, psychology, anatomy, astronomy, the beach, film, gardens, architecture, especially castles, archways and columns, listening to my ipod, pain management, making to-do lists, igoogle, jigsaw puzzles, collecting vintage and new postcards, thrift store hunting, hole in wall joints, live music, pogs (yup, still have em') reading, being swallowed by the big comfy chairs in book stores, blogging, a good pun, cooking/baking edible things, making yum yum, lolly gagging, tom foolery, animals, nature, biking, canoing, people watching, strolling, indulging in lattes and other glorius beverages with natures high, traveling, exploring, understanding family, refusing to grow up, being a slave to technology, but embracing nature, all things that sparkle, cute things.

Comedy, mystery and horror! Psychological thrillers, anything that provokes emotion and thought in general. I tend to gravitate toward the quirky indie films.
What didn't disappoint me: Pans Labyrinth, Bram Stokers Dracula, Cube, he was a quiet man, Dogma, Mall Rats, Clerks, Clerks 2, shaun of the dead, run fat boy run, Foxfire, butterfly effect, fight club, boiler room, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, the science of sleep, secretary, hard candy, elephant, love the hard way, amelie, memento, mulhuland drive, lost highway, dead poets society, goodwill hunting, sweet november, forces of nature, breakfast club, goonies, office space, drop dead fred, sunshine, The Last Unicorn (I'm still trying to get the t-shirt that's always sold out) Princess bride....and it goes on...I'm an avid Netflix subscriber. I should be more of a life subscriber.
T.V.
I pay for 70 plus channels, but only watch about 10 and occasionally at that...gotta love Comcast's marketing strategies. If it's on, i'll catch: Curb Your Enthusiasm, Old Seinfeld and Friends, The Soup, The Colbert Report,South Park, Scrubs, anything on the food network, history, discovery, travel, animal planet, family guy, robot chicken. Oh, once in a while i like to watch UFC, it's like fight club only you get to talk about it! :p Then there's TLC with all the home remodeling/decorating i get sucked into. You know what I miss? Six Feet Under. That was prime entertainment. Oh, I miss the old Nick at Night with shows like Patty Duke and the British shows like Absolutely Fabulous.
My latest obsession:
and
Dexter! The New season begins in September! I never thought they'd come up with something as good as Six feet under. It's actually better.

EVERYTHING...excluding the majority of radio music, rap and most country, which makes me want to spontaneously combust. You should probably let the playlist speak for itself. :)

Current Read: Catcher in the Rye (Just to see how it hits me this time)
I'm trying not to find CBT mindnumbingly boring...
Milk Run, Fish Bowl, Catcher in the rye, The Portable Dorothy Parker, various poetry by different authors like Poe and Kafka. The most i've read of one author is Michael Crichton. I really enjoyed Time line and Travels. Lately, I haven't picked up more than non-fiction, i should.

So i suffer from SAD, GAD and depression to one degree or another on a daily basis. Everyday is a battle in my head.
Currently, I'm trying to look forward and not dwell in the past i can't change. My daily affirmation is this: "Failure is the stepping stone to success" I repeat it in my head like a broken record, it gets me through the day.
I'm looking for work, deciding what i want to finish my degree in, trying to make working out a hobby, reading CBT and overall following the bread crumbs back to where I was a happier person.
Oh, and music is the cheapest therapy i know.
