My name is Matt and I live in RI. I'm 29 and still live with the parents (I know, that's not a turn on).

I've been taking classes at a community college for a few years working toward a degree in computer programming. I've got about a semester left. Not sure what I'm going to do once I get it, as I'm terrified of work (not because I'm lazy, just afraid of interacting with people).

Overall, I'm not happy with my life at all. Major periods of depression have left me isolated and cut off from everyone for many years. Unfortunately, when I came out of it I realized that I forgot how to interact with people. It's very painful for me to interact with people in social situations now. So I usually just stay home.

I want my life to be something better than this, but I'm not quite sure how I'm going to go about changing it. I signed up here to maybe get some ideas from others who are dealing with the same issues.
