I like to watch bad/campy/low budget films that generally fall under the genres of sci-fi, horror or action. While watching these films I generally laugh and/or make fun of them.

I'll watch "good" movies too, of course, but they're just not the same.

Obligatory list of semi-obscure bands I listen to:

Grandaddy, Guided By Voices, Catherine Wheel, John Vanderslice, Lenola, Aspera, Flotation Toy Warning, Built Like Alaska, Monks Of Doom, The Inbreds, New Radiant Storm King, Palaxy Tracks, The '89 Cubs, Radiohead, They Shoot Horses Don't They?, Michael Penn, Gin Blossoms, Superdrag, Ass Ponys, Flaming Lips, Grizzly Bear, Neutral Milk Hotel, Rogue Wave, Tapes 'N Tapes, Mobius Band, Pavement

Or you could just listen to a few of the songs playing below:

I'm a relatively shy individual, struggled with social anxiety most of my life, not the kind to initiate conversation with random people, keep to myself, blah blah blah. When I'm with friends or people I know well I tend to be more vocal and outgoing. I thought I'd join and see if I could make a few like-minded acquaintances. Feel free to say hi.

Things I have been known to do:

Listen to music of the rock persuasion, create my own strange songs and record them to 4-track cassette, play video games, buy old comic books and records for comedic purposes, play hide and seek with my neurotic cat, go for walks in the rain, attend local "indie rock" shows, watch bad movies and enjoy them more than "good" ones, write about myself in online text boxes

The shy, the open-minded, the funny, the weird, astronauts, monkeys, Bigfoot, the usual

The rude, the overly-opinionated, the egotistic, those who enjoy the taste of raw tomatoes (HOW?! WHY!?)

I think I already covered this in the first box but I should probably write something here too.

I like cheese.

Alright, that'll do.

Will this comment graphic induce you to accept my gmail invitation? :(

Yeah, I started the last job right before your last comment (sorry for the late reply btw). It's going all right so far. In some ways I liked my old job better, but I'm glad I was able to stay at the same company, and will have a chance to get hired on permanently. There's lots of room for growth there if that happens. Plus, the job isn't really that bad anyway, all things considered, and pays better too. So it's cool.

Is it wrong your dental story made me laugh? But only out of commiseration! I tried to be tough during my fillings too, and totally failed. I kept involuntarily swallowing during the procedure and somehow squirting Rachael-spit up at them. I keeps it ladylike, yo!

Dude, thanks to you, I'm completely jonesing for Cinnamon Toast Crunch now. That is so my crack.

No, no. Those aren't extra-long eyelashes, those are furry eyebrows. So implying that you're the skunk was actually a compliment since fluffy eyebrows are a sign of virility and masculinity and, uh, lack of grooming implements.

So, I invited to you Gmail. If you accept (who am I kidding, WHEN you accept), you'll have completed your collection of instant messaging programs. Yay!
