I've been on the SAS site since 2004 - I'm AKA Puzzledmike.

I have suffered from social anxiety since I was a child, but often managed to drift along fairly well. After getting a proper diagnosis a few years ago, I sprang into action and after a couple more years started a course of CBT.

At the same time I found a wonderful group in London, led by the unique Stefano, in which SA sufferers can work on their anxieties and their social skills.

I also did the Social Anxiety Institute tape course, and by sheer coincidence found a group in London who met weekly to go through the therapy.

CBT has changed my life, and made me much happier. However, I still have problems due to my rustiness at maintaining social relationships. So I'm still a work in progress.
