Internet.
Local History.
Walking.

I don't watch many of these, but I like things such as Billy Elliott and Beautiful Thing. They show boys outside of the normal stereotypes, and give me something I can take heart from, as it is much the same as I feel I am.

I like quite a range of music. I'm into trance and some techno, but also older songs, especially the really sentimental love songs. Classical is OK, but it has to be of the right type, and I need to be in the right mood. I enjoy a good brass band best of all.

A Friend Like Henry.
Goodnight Mister Tom.

Caring, compassionate, kind people. I like caring for people and being empathetic, but need a close friend to do the same for me. Someone quiet, and gentle, and understanding.

Beautiful countryside, gardens, and woodlands. I find these so therapeutic and peaceful.

Love listening to people, especially if they're needing someone to talk to. Children & young teenagers are a real tonic to me. I can relax when in their company, unlike with adults.

Sport, SPORT, S P O R T.
Noise.
Large crowds, or more so small groups, which I avoid as much as possible, especially the latter. I feel that they are all looking at me and thinking the worst of me.

I've always suffered from a lack of confidence, possibly started by having a distant father, and no alternative role-model. This was not helped by bullying by peers at school. As a result I'm very withdrawn, shy and quiet, and am also rather feminine in my character.

More recently I have become very depressed at the loss of my only friend - one that I was really close to and I felt understood & respected me. This has taken away the small amount of confidence and self-esteem that I managed to build up over the years. Due to my SAD, I find it extremely hard to reach out and join in new activities in order to make friends. I would sooner be alone in spite of my sadness. The Internet, due to its nature, allows me to reach out much more easily and speak with others.

Hey Jonathan W.

Self-confidence is a huge part of this. It takes work, that's for sure. When you get a hang of self-confidence and who you are, the rest will fall into place. You will begin to see yourself as God created you to be. Don't ever give up on this! :)
