Pretension, Arrogance is probably the biggest one...

I've been dealing with mental health problems since I was a very young kid, the two major ones being depression and social anxiety. Unfortunately, the way things worked out I am still in the early stages of recovery. But on the positive side of the things, I think my struggles have made me more compassionate and empathetic. I can be really insecure and self-deprecating sometimes. I am working on that, but I will always choose humility over arrogance.

I'm just here to hopefully make some friends with similar interests, which are mainly creative these days. Or maybe I'll get lucky and discover something new.

That sounds like a good 4th! You can't go wrong with tasty food. :) I've put on a little weight with all the eating I've been doing lately, up to 157 lbs. now, woot! Granted, that's still less than what I was a few months ago, this Cymbalta hasn't been great for my appetite. You should get back to working out again, plus you have your dad to work out with. I think I'd have an easier time sticking with it/getting results if I had a work out partner (I just exercise at home). When's your dad's comp?

Sorry to hear school's starting back...unless you enjoy it? I've always hated school, though I hear college is a lot different than high school. What classes are you taking besides algebra?

Sorry about the lack of net connection at the dad's, but it sounds like you're making the best of it. If nothing else you get some quality time with the grandma. :)

So your dad's a bodybuilder? That's actually kinda cool! I work out myself sometimes. I get absolutely nowhere with it, I'm still as scrawny as ever, lol. I admire people that are able to stick with it and really transform their bodies though. It's hard work.

My 4th was nice, spent it with family, set off fireworks (in the rain, dammit!), had some good food. What about you?

The vacation was great! Lots of fishing and swimming, plus I learned to wakeboard. I'm still sore, and I'm bruised all over, but I'm disappointed it all ended so quick. I really enjoy being active, and I know I'll likely spend the rest of the summer sitting on my butt.

You seem to be quite the movie buff. I enjoy watching movies with people, but when I'm on my own I typically watch sports or TV shows.

It's great you're interested in old cameras. You'd probably get along well with my dad, he used to enjoy finding deals on older cameras, though I don't think he has any from the that far back. Nowadays most people only seem interested in going digital.

Hey Darick! How'd your time with your mom go? I've never seen "A Scanner Darkly". I take it it's good? What's it about?

So it's a deal, when I'm in Georgia we'll go to a Braves game together. :)
