Social anxiety and lack of self esteem control my life right now. I'm just starting to make slight progress after years of having given up.

I'm very awkward when speaking to people for the first time (even online), and like many others here it's difficult for me to open up. I'm not likely to send a first message or comment, but anyone who wants to should feel free to send a message and I will be happy to talk.

Hey DSW. I haven't been online a heck of a lot lately, still busy with family stuff, but things should start calming down now. I'm usually on for a bit in the afternoons.

My 4th was nice. My grandmother made a meal for everyone, went to my cousin's for a bit to hang out (she was throwing a party), then went to my grandparents' farm to set off fireworks. My aunt and uncle bought over $200 worth. It rained unfortunately for the second year in a row. My mom and I are planning on attending the fireworks show in a neighboring town tonight, but we're supposed to get scattered thunderstorms, so it might get rained out. How was your 4th?

Yes I did see "The Infamous Steve Bartman Incident." It was kind of hard to see what exactly was going on but I saw security take him away for safety. Oddly enough Moises Alou apologized 5 years later. That's class *rolls eyes*

I am reading "The House of Sleep" by Jonathan Coe. Its really really good! I am still working on Carter Beats the Devil. A friend at work lent me "After Hours" by Murakami. I just bought "WHen You Are Engulfed in Flames" by David Sedaris. I really have a book buying problem.

I just watched my first film in Russian the other day. Russian Ark, very beautiful. Its the longest single shot film in history.
