Well, I have this thing called social anxiety, maybe you've heard of it. Anyway, I've had it my whole life. It's the single biggest thing outside of my family that has shaped my life to date. It wasn't until my early 20s that I was diagnosed with it.

Growing up I knew I was different from everyone else, I had trouble making friends. I've always felt estranged from people my age and have kind of been a loner. It's not by choice often, it's just that I've had difficulty connecting with others.

People who don't know me would most likely view me as quiet and aloof or anti-social. I enjoy interacting and with people, so long as it is with people I know well and am comfortable with. While I'm shy, I'd really like to meet new people and hopefully make new friends.

Also, if you want to know more about me, I've done a few videos on my SA: www.youtube.com/chazw14

I work as a mid-level editor of a trade newsletter. It's not my dream job but it pays the bills.

I'm trying to cope the best I can, some days are easier than others.

not to be creepy or anything, but I saw that you worked at a newspaper, and I do too. I don't know how I ended up as a journalist with SA, but I know that I definitely prefer being an editor to a reporter. Less scary that way :)

Hey, thanks for the comments. Glad to hear Fay left you unscathed. Wow, you work in journalism too, I thought I was the only with SA and did that. lol.

I'm off of work this week and the previous week. Our publication, which is an inside the beltway publication, goes on hiatus a couple of weeks in August when Congress adjourns. I do production and layout and some editing, and I occasionally write (scary).

Talk to you soon.

Hey, no I'm not a journalist......I tone photos.........I suppose to be a graphic artist.....I also have the pages made on to the plates.  I work at the Press-Register . What paper do you work for?
