Honesty, a sense of humor, and Shania Twain.

Narcissism, judgmental people, and myself.

To start, ASheyeGeye was supposed to be my cute little way of spelling "A Shy Guy," but it seems I did a better job creating confusion than anything. My real name's Matthew, and I'm 26 years old from Maryland, USA. Despite being an outgoing child, I started to suffer from Social Anxiety in my early teens. I suppose it was caused by a number of factors, from being teased, to heredity, to losing my childhood friends and lacking the fortitude and know-how to gain new friends. I eventually dropped out of high school and have been unable to get my life back on track since. So here I am, looking for people to relate to, and the motivation to get things moving again.

I have a lot of aspirations, it's just a matter of formulating a plan to go about completing them. I always did well in school, but I feel like a complete failure having dropped out of high school. Though I earned my GED, I can't see myself being satisfied until I earn a degree in college. I'd love to have a steady job and finally gain my independence. It's hard to feel like an adult when I'm still reliant on other people.

I've never been a member of an Anxiety Group before, so this is a new experience for me. I'd love to make some friends and have people to talk with. The days are long and my time is available, so anyone that has the desire can feel free to message me or leave a comment!

Hey Hun!!!
No more mud baths for me...I'd drown now... LOL!! Too much rain!

Awwwww..SORRY about your grandparents. Was it an emotional weekend?
I DO HOPE someone keeps the getogethers going, they seem a very special time for you all.

THANX for the comments on Debs...I'll pass them on!! tehe!! She'll be delighted!!!

I'm back home for a few days/week while the weather's not so good (and give my mum her house back..LOL!) It''s so sad though, she's got heart failure on the left side of her heart, and has been very worried lately because anything she eats makes her feel sick. I looked up the internet about it when I got back, and wish I didn't now!

She's expecting the results of some tests today HOPING it's 'just' an ulcer that's causing the problems, and not anything worse. I'm going to phone her after I send this. I'll let you know the results, so you're not left 'wondering' now that I've told you about it!

I hope this finds you keeping well too hun, Lx:o))

Yes it doesn't help to have regrets, although i didn't have friends i still studied after school cos my parents made sure i did. strangely enough i did have more closer friends in tech, i think it was cos others who were at school with me landed up doing similar courses and we made friends. I think having so many siblings caused me not to look out for friends cos when we were younger we did everything together.
The provincial team for my area "the sharks" have made it to rugby finals for the country, today was the final log match and they finished top, so the top 4 will play semifinals next week or the week after.
keep well and enjoy the rest of the weekend.
